The Pioneer Trail (tour)

The Pioneer Trail is a touristic tour in Québec, CA, created in 2007 by the Table de concertation culturelle de la MRC de Coaticook (TCCC).〔http://www.voiedespionniers.com/fr/a_propos/index.shtml〕 The Pioneer Trail with its cultural component, tells the story of the characters that have marked the Coaticook region of the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.
Each character is represented in natural size in a corten steel panel cut to the image of his silhouette. Through an integrated audio device in the structure, the character speaks for five minutes in French and English for five minutes. The 20 characters tell their story and the impact they have had on the region through the milestones. Benches are installed on these facilities so that visitors can observe the dales, valleys and rivers of the typical landscape of the region. The panels are equipped with permanent locations. This tour is available all year except January and February. The route linking the key characters from twenty to twelve municipalities of the MRC of Coaticook.
== History ==
A cultural tour already existed since the early 2000s in the Coaticook region. The project of The Pioneer Trail aims to enrich the cultural circuit established by TCCC. In 2002, there are six Discovery Circuits that were made. They were published in bilingual brochures in 2004. The addition of The Pioneer Trail teaches visitors about the selected characters and developed by where they lived. These pioneers were shared between two cultures is the francophone and anglophone as the inhabitants of the Townships of East today. To date, TCCC introduced the current 20 characters by five cycles over an area of four years:
